Greetings from Gloucestershire

Post by Sunray02 » Sun Jun 19, 2016 10:38 pm

Hi - I'm Gavin who has recently joined a local rifle and pistol club and most welcoming they have been too. Back in the 90's I was involved with full bore pistol shooting but lost interest when that hobby was banned and turned my attention to the world of classic cars. More recently I have downsized from a Bristol to an MX-5 which I am enjoying hugely when the sun is shining! With some more time on my hands I was looking for another interest and came across this shooting club which is quite small but has a nice indoor range. The members are generous with their time and equipment and I have been able to borrow a variety of weapons from a .22 rifle, air rifle and even a black powder revolver which takes an age to load - little wonder General Custer lost the Battle of Little Bighorn!
A friend of mine invited me to dinner a few weeks ago and while I was talking about this new interest said he had been a keen air gunner many years previously and would I like to borrow his pistol which had not been used for quite some time. It turned out to be a
Walther LP Mod.3 in excellent condition although there are a few rust spots on the base of the cocking handle and barrel. I was delighted with his generous offer and have tried the gun out with great success, other club members are most impressed with the smooth trigger action.
I'm looking forward to getting to know people here and improving my knowledge of this classic pistol. if anyone can direct me to where I can download a copy of the owners handbook that would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Gavin

Hello Gavin,

And welcome to the forum.

We have some very distinguished members of the air gun community as members, so I am sure any question you have will be excellently answered.

I started off with air guns, moved to full bore pistol, gave up for a while, then moved back around 5 years ago.

I am also a Synthesizer enthusiast, and spend a lot of time on amateur radio.

Kind regards,

Phil

I now have so many airguns I've had to make a list, which is >>HERE<<
