Well, I have in my possession the GC1 - the only one.
It was the first pre-charged air rifle Gerald built in it's entirety as the stepping stone to the GC2. Which I also have. I have number 200 which was Gerald's personal gun so pop down sometime to take a look Phil.

Long Barrelled Webley
This is not a "made up gun" as these were done, for Webley, by Gerald Cardew.
I know for a fact they were sold by Airgun shops in the UK but these were produced in very limited numbers. This is the only one I have ever seen in the flesh as it were.

Triplets - Westley Richards Highest possible
A very, very rare sight. In the little display of Vintage Guns at Manchester Airguns.

Re: Westley Richards "Highest Possible" Air Pistol
Brian, it is number 182. The trigger blade is of course straightened now  I just wanted to share the pictures with you and really, the steel is good quality and took no effort. Strange that it was so shaped in the first place? Not to worry, it is right now and I will be leaving it well alone.

Re: Westley Richards "Highest Possible" Air Pistol
And then, along comes another. A very early example this time, with an inexplicable bend in the trigger?

Re: Westley Richards "Highest Possible" Air Pistol
Well, guns are like buses, if you wait long enough, one will turn up. This is a mint, untouched, unmolested example. It was bought from Westley Richards by George Sheard who was a soldier in the Lancashire or Cheshire Regiment during the First World War, the Great War. He was killed just before the ...

Re: FAS 6004 - arrival imminent.
No, nothing of the sort Ian, i know you too well - Read what you will into that folks  What I am saying is I know where your pistol originated so we cannot say for certain whether or not this specification was destined ultimately for the UK market. What I can say however is that the half doze...

Re: FAS 6004 - arrival imminent.
To be fair Ian, I think you were the only one to get this pistol with 2mm threads. I have modified a couple now (for disabled shooters and I mean no pun) and they are well made bits of kit. I think you were unlucky and in fairness yours was a grey import.

Well I am pleased you did join as I have realised there was an error in my DNS records so thanks for that.
It is a good solution the two "O" rings but I can make custom seals so I just duplicate the originals, because I can.

W W Greener of Birmingham
This last couple of months I have been restoring a couple of W W Greener rifles for a well known collector. When he purchased one of the rifles, the stock had been sent out by the owner for "restoration". I was totally astounded by the absolute abortion presented to me (AND the owner was required to...

FAS 604 parts are totally interchangeable with the new FAS6004 so I cannot really see a problem well into the future.

AirForceOne Trophy Co2 Pistol
Some time back Phil and I identified a gap in the target pistol offerings of all of the major manufacturers. It appeared that you could buy a HW40 SSP pistol and begin target shooting with that, then save up the hard earned and buy a dedicated Target Pistol - starting around £550 for a cheap used se...

Giffard - a really beautiful very rare thing
As a couple of you know, I have been extremely busy the last couple of months but for this I needed to pause, collect my thoughts and post this up here as it would be criminal not to. As an example of the Makers Art, you would need to really look hard to find something more desirable. And before any...

Re: Incompetent airgunsmith + bad advice = one dead airgun.
Could the owner not take the 'pro' Smith to small claims court?? Cheers, John.. You could John, but it really isn't as straightforward as people make out - and many people think it is throwing good money after bad. The thing that the owner could have in his favour would be asking for the "gunsmith'...
