Re: 1959 Weihrauch brochure
Thank you Phil. I do not have access to my usual computer this week, but when I do I will re-size and re-post these scans so that the whole of each page is visible!

1959 Weihrauch brochure
Here is a little flyer of HW's 1959 lineup that might be of interest. The original is a single piece of folded paper, folded to produce six, A5-sized panels. There is color only on the cover as you can see. Note the "received" stamp on the cover, which dates the document and has another historical l...

Re: joniskeit-hurricane
The catalog description is pretty accurate! These are very rare, very high-quality SSP match pistols made in Germany in the late 80's and early 90's. I've never seen one in the flesh but they do poke their heads up on eGun and similar sites from time to time.

Re: Running Boar FWB 300
This is some interesting reading! Thanks for your insights. One detail I would add is that Running Target required a single-stage trigger action, so this was another significant difference between standard 10-meter and RT versions of the FWB 300S, or other manufacturer's guns. While typically shot w...

An early post-war Diana 5
This is an early example of the Diana 5, from around 1960 or a little before, with the grip/frame unit made of wood. These early ones also had some rather nice touches to the action that later went away, note the cut-away areas at the front of the breech jaws, and the lovely tapered barrel. The amou...

Re: My Webley Hurricane .177 pistol
That is a lovely example! I've always liked the Hurricane, and in my opinion many shooters underrate it. Sure, it's not as compact and cute as the Tempest, but the click-adjusting rear sight, better-shaped front post, longer sight radius, and a little extra weight make it easier to shoot well. My ex...

Re: My own favorite Webley
Thank you bellringer! Had I actually consulted Mr. Thrale's book, instead of foolishly relying on my memory, I would have seen that the A2577 from 1967 was a .22 cal sporting rifle! His 1970 one corresponds with your date. I will correct my original post for posterity. The Supertarget actually got m...

My own favorite Webley
Mk 3 "Supertarget," serial A2577, made late 1970 according to Chris Thrale's book. This rifle was originally sent as a sales sample from Webley, to Harrington & Richardson here in the US (H&R at one time imported Webley air pistols, and even manufactured copies of Webley's self-loading firearm pisto...

Re: A Webley MkIII and Original 50
The more powerful model "50 T01" was made for a brief period in the early 1980's, I believe. Unlike earlier 50's which shared many parts with the model 35 barrel-cocker, the 50 T01 was based on the action of the first-version model 45, including its completely revised trigger and large sliding safet...

Re: Beeman Peep sight..
For the record--the "Beeman" peep sight is indeed made by Williams here in the US. They actually make several models with the same longitudinal-bar-type adjustable mount, that are suitable for airguns. Their "FP" series are compact sights with clicking elevation and windage adjustments. The model FP...

Re: Webley MKIII Rifle ''Smoothbores''
I believe I'm correct in saying that rifled-bore airguns were forbidden in Ireland for a period after the war, possibly other places as well? The occupying Allies also at first allowed only smooth-bore guns when airgun production re-started in Germany in the early 1950's. I have seen Walther 51's an...

How y'all doin'...!?!?
Which in real English, as spoken outside of East Tennessee, means more or less: "Hello, hope you all are doing well, how exciting it is to discover this forum!" I've been an airgun enthusiast for many years, lean more toward rifles with springs in them really, but certainly have never turned down a ...
