Re: posting pistols in UK
Technically I believe they aught to go parcel force? Parcelforce 48 has never given me any problems and its done by road so no it doesn't pass through an airport which I think reduces the risk of confiscation

CP3 Cylinder fail
So I finally gassed up the Cp3 cylinder (Special trip to fire extinguisher place) and literally 2 minutes before I could get it attatched to the gun the internal cylinder seal in the valve appears to have gone. So an intertaining few seconds as the cylinder tried to escape my grip then freeze itself...

Scottish Airgun Legislation
Well thats the airgun bill then Looks like this could be putting the end to the hobby for many (including me) depending on the exact conditions.

Re: Advice on my acquiring my first target pistol.
Hi David, Welcome to the forum! You've been doing your reading and isolated a couple of fine pistols there! PCP is out of your price range really at £200. You could have a fine Co2 Pistol for that price but if you dont want to go down that route you are limited to SSP. I know C02 seems like a pain, ...

Re: Daisy 717
Indeed. These smk targets are crap. I think a lot of the problem was that its very visually confusing with the different colours at 10m while focusing on the front sights . This was with r10's (rifle) as this is what worked best in my older 717. But i get the feeling something else would work better...

Re: Daisy 717
Shot a few test groups today and it seems to be about right! shot at ten meters on a rest. Which was harder than I thought! Need a beanbag for that type of thing I guess.

Daisy 717
Hi guys, Just a little showcase of my Daisy 717 (one of two) as I know there are a few people on here who have some but some may never have tried one. Entry level SSP target pistols over here tend to be GAMO compacts but the Daisy is a formidable option for a low price! This one will be going up for...

Re: starting a 10m club: what needs to be done
many thanks zooma, All great points. I don't know whats happening up here at the moment. There is apparently the possibility of some kind of shooting center being set-up in the area (Permanent) as a planned legacy of the Commonwealth games (believe it when I see it) but I am going to wait to see wha...

Re: Walther CPM-1
Yeah its very much on the expensive side. On the cylinders, yeah ofc you are correct. I wonder how strict they are over here? The rules state its the shooters responsibility to make sure they are safe just grind the dates off and stamp new ones on.

I wonder why FWB dont just start making 103's again? Even limited runs would sell like hot cakes.

wishlists : pistols we are looking for or aspire to own
Had a thought today that we could do with a sticky topic listing pistols that we are on the lookout for or aspire to own at some point. I did see a 2013 specific post in the archives but thought we could do with something more general. Just in case someone sees something for sale somewhere that migh...
